Refund Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2025
This policy applies to paid editorial services from Cortex PathBase Co., Ltd. Free articles and glossary access are not billable.

Guided research sessions

• Full refund: Cancel 48 or more hours before the scheduled start — deposit returned within 10 business days.
• Partial refund (50%): Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before start.
• No refund: Cancel less than 24 hours before start, or no-show without notice.
• Rescheduling: One free reschedule if requested 48+ hours ahead. Later changes follow cancellation tiers above.

Extended research blocks

Unused sessions in a three-session block may be refunded at the per-session rate if you cancel the remaining sessions 48+ hours before the next scheduled slot. Completed sessions are non-refundable.

Glossary consultations

Same cancellation windows as single research sessions. Written summary delivery is included; if we fail to deliver within 5 business days, you may request a full refund.

Commissioned explainers

• Deposit (40%) is refundable before work begins.
• After draft delivery, refunds are not available; one included revision round is provided.
• If we cannot complete the agreed scope, remaining fees are refunded or credited toward a rescheduled delivery date.

Team workshops

• Cancel 14+ days before event: full refund of deposit.
• Cancel 7–13 days before: 50% deposit retained.
• Cancel fewer than 7 days before: deposit non-refundable; materials prep fees may apply if custom slides were produced.

Non-refundable items

• Completed sessions and delivered follow-up notes
• Rush fees once work has started
• Third-party costs (travel, translation) already incurred on your behalf

Refund method

Refunds return to the original payment method used for the deposit or invoice. Bank transfers in KRW typically settle within 5–10 business days; international card refunds may take up to 14 days depending on your issuer.

Work already started

If you cancel a commissioned explainer after we submit a draft, no refund is due. If you cancel a workshop after we share the agenda outline but before the event, the 7–13 day tier applies.

Exceptions

We may waive fees when Cortex PathBase cancels a session due to staff illness or technical failure on our side. We will offer rescheduling first; if that fails, a full refund applies.

Email hello@cortex-pathbase.click with your name, invoice number, and reason. We confirm eligibility within 3 business days.
